Largest SSDAB Multiplex in the UK Launches

U.DAB, North London’s new multiplex and the largest “Small Scale” DAB multiplex in the UK, launches today (5th January 2026), with 26 Stations on board.

The multiplex has previously been operating in Trial form with three transmitters.  

The newly launched, fully licensed multiplex, now has double the number of transmitters, covering four million adults across North and Central London.  The resulting improved coverage, and increased audience, will provide a far better listening experience for the wide range of radio stations carried on it.

Shareholders of U.DAB Ltd include; Audessence, Sammy Jacob, Solar Broadcasting, Muxnet and Community Stations Reprezent, Rinse, Resonance, Nagrecha Radio, The Beat and Rainbow Radio.

Even with the multiplex already operating at almost full capacity, there remains space for a limited number of services. Stations interested in carriage should head to northlondondigitalradio.com for further information.

The line-up of launch stations include:  Reprezent, Rinse FM, Resonance, Resonance Extra, Nagrecha Radio, Rainbow Radio, The Beat London, Radio Caroline, Select Radio, Kool FM, CDNX (Camden Xperience), Soho Radio, Starpoint Soul, Solar Radio, Asian Star Radio, LGR (London Greek Radio), Delite Radio, Angel Vintage Ldn, Ruach Radio, Fun Kids, Liberty Radio, GreekBeat Radio, Polish Radio, House FM, Shine 879 and Hellas Radio UK.
